Sizing help, 5'10 185 lbs, looking to use this in all seasons with the mid layer being an OR transcendant down jacket. Would a medium give me enough room, and more importantly enough motion while climbing and skiing, or should i size it up to a large? Thanks.

5'11, athletic build with proportional chest and shoulders and 168lbs. A LARGE allowed me to comfortably fit a hooded Marmot softshell and Stoic down jacket (no hood). Little space left, but I experienced no binding or uncomfort at seams, joints, or other areas.

Large for sure....I'm 6' 180 and it fits well. Snug with layers.

I am 5'9 155lbs to 16lbs and I wear a medium with some room to spare....My brother is 6'2 180lbs and he wears a large.... You seem to be on the cusp of large or a tighter fitting medium....
