I am 5'10" 180 and a 34 length sleeve, and 32 waist..how much more room is the M vs. the L, I don't like to be super restricted under the arms, but I like a more tailored fit than the box look I wear a M in the Zip Cardigan and 1/4 zip pullover.

I think you'd fit the large better in this particular jacket, mostly because it's a fairly trim fit in the torso. I almost always wear Med in Arc but at 6'170, like the Lge better, but it's not baggy looking.
