My daughter is 8 years old She uually wears girl medium. I'd like to buy this jacket for her and would like to last for a couple of years (at least 2 years) Would Large be too big?

I think large might be too big. Remember, medium is based on girls that are 10-12 years old so I think if she wears a size 8-10 in clothing, the medium would be a great size and last at least two years.
