jch3666146, Thanks for your question. Between the Heli Alpine jacket and the Heli Softshell jacket you are basically choosing between ingredients. The Heli Alpine jacket is fashioned from Gore Tex Pro Shell, where the Heli Softshell jacket is built from Gore Tex Soft Shell. You are going to get more freedom of movement, and a stretch function with the softshell over the Gore Pro Shell. Outside of that both are very comparable in feature sets, function, and weather protection. I hope this is helpful for you. Pray for snow.
