As mentioned, the come separate - they cost about $40 and are a great way to extend the functionality of the shoe. I just purchased a set of these and also purchased the tails. They work great!

Yes, you will need to buy a flotation tails as an accessory. They are the Evo Tails and will add an additional 4 inches to the end of the snowshoe.
