Is it supposed to cover my butt? I tried on two different size, one was tight on my chest but the rest fit great, felt perfect as a mid layer. I tried a size up, chest area was very comfy but felt some material was bunched up on the waist line (I tried under the Alpha LT).

Wasabi, greetings and thanks for your question. The Atom LT jacket is a technical insulating layer that should be fitted in the body in order to best layer under a shell. This jacket will work equally as well as a stand alone piece to combat the cold. It does not feature a drop tail, and is not supposed to cover your a@!. If you are looking for an Arcteryx insulator with a drop tail, check the Fission Series, Kappa SV, or the Dually Belay Jacket. I hope this is helpful for you. Enjoy.
