This is a little late, it might help someone else. I'm About 5'9" 151 lbs with a 40" chest and I fit into a medium nicely with NO layers. WITH layers (base + fleece), this jacket cramps up a little fast. You should def. go large.

Jorge. You will probably be the most comfortable in a large. I feel like medium would be a little tight in the chest. I hope this info helps!
