will this kayak work well in boundary water tripping, includes portaging, sometimes rough lakes/rivers, small rapids. I'm a novice kayaker, never purchased one before, so any advice would be appreciated.

This is a really nice kayak but don't think it would be a great choice for what you are describing. It is awfully heavy for long portaging, just something to keep in mind.

This is a great boat to learn on. She is amazingly stable. Im 6'3''280 and I can stand on her and she doesnt tip. A bit on the heavy side, but worth it for the storage she has. Great boat!!
