The information says "attached rollaway ergo hood..." I cannot figure out how it rolls away.

Maybe the "away" part isn't quite the right way to put it. It rolls up on itself and is held in place by a Velcro strap that attaches to a tab on the back of the jacket. It doesn't tuck into a collar, but more or less becomes one. Hope I was able to make it a little clearer for you.
