I am looking at the Scarpa Mustang GTX's. I purchased a pair of Garmont Syncro GTX Nubucks last year and I have never been happy with them. They continue to give me horrible blisters on my heals and I have tried volume increasers, different lacing techniques and sock combinations to no avail. I miss hiking pain free and need some replacement boots. Garmont has not been very helpful at all. Would the Mustangs be a viable replacement for a low volume foot. I normally wear a 12 or 13. My Keen Austins are 12's and fit fine but I used to have some Vasque Sundowner Summits and 12's were too small. I was thinking the 46-1/2 size for the Mustangs would be goood . I think this is a 12-1/2 us size

John , These would be good for your foot type. The Kailash GTX would alos be a good option.
