Planning on doing some high altitude mountaineering in Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Would these do the trick for mountains ~ 6,000 m or 20,000 ft?

Nice boots, Janice, but way too light for 6000m peaks, unless you want to lose a few toes. If you're planning to get up to 20,000ft you better wear something warmer. I'm not talking out of my butt, here as I've climbed Denali, Aconcogua, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Rainier (16x), Mexican volcanoes, and many Ecuadorean peaks. These are great boots for the lower 48 and Ouray, CO, but I would, again, suggust warmer boots for any 6000m peak. IMHO.
