Michael is right. Goat leather is the most durable / hard - wearing leather that Hestra uses in their gloves. They make gloves for the Swedish Army out of goat.

I'll compare to cowhide leather which hestra uses in some gloves. The army "goat" leather is tougher and will resist wear better. Intially it will be stiffer, compared to the cowhide. I've had these gloves for several years without any noticable wear.
