is this pack too big to use as a back country, or side country pack? i know you should always leave extra room, especially when packing layers into the bag. and i know that ospreys can cinch down a lot! (i love my 85L argon!) i have a vaude powder 34 and i feel it will be too small, plus the vaude doesn't adjust and is too small for my frame. (it has become my school backpack...)
i am a big guy, 270lbs. and 6'2".

Normally I would say yes, but I think you are in the perfect range given your size. Just because you have 60 L of space doesn't mean you have to use 60 L of space. The compression straps should allow you to comfortably carry a smaller load needed. The fact that you like the way your argon fits is also a good indication that you will probably like the way this pack fits as well.
