Angie, incandescent bulbs burn out very easily. The filament doesn't always appeary broken like you might see in an old light bulb. If you changed the batteries and it doesn't work there are only a few explantions. 1) batteries are in the wrong orientation, double check 2) bulb is burned out, need a new bulb 3) electrical issue, water or corrosive battery acid has damaged circuitry, flashlight is now garbage My suggestion, the bulb is not worth the money to replace it. Buy a new LED light that has at least 3 watts and you will never need to replace a bulb again. Additionally, you will have increased battery life and it will be much lighter and smaller.
