I am looking for a new powder ski to use in those 5 + inch days....

By Ranked #384 - Big Mountain Freeride Skis September 13, 2010

I am looking for a new powder ski to use in those 5 + inch days. I am 5'10 180lbs expert skier and I ski mainly Vail and Beaver Creek as well as the backcountry in those surrounding areas. My everyday ski that I work in is last years 179 obsethed and I love it. I am trying to decide between the Bent Chets in the 193 and the 189 obsethed. I really only care about how they handle on the really deep days and not so much about their all mountain performance. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Get them. I've skied bent chetlers for 1 1/2 yrs (got some early) mostly at winter park, also at the Beav, Vail, sidecountry, abay. They are soooo sweet for Colorado. Float, arc, short, long. I can ski the trees longer than before because the Chetlers are so responsive you can hit super tight lines. Although you don't want them for all mountain it's great to have a ski that's fun getting around the mountain to the good stuff.
