Is this the solid black material or does the Resolve have the small checker-like materia;?

Hi Lisa, the fabric on this jacket is a nylon ripstop, so the color is solid but you can see small subtle "boxes" that are created by the reinforced ripstop areas on the fabric. Hope that helps.
