Hey Dutchman, I haven't owned one of these and taken it apart but it appears as with other Katadyn products, the good people there have created a replacement cartridge for the MyBottle. Check out the Katadyn website: http://www.katadyn.com/usen/katadyn-products/products/katadynshopconnect/katadyn-water-filters-accessoriespartskits/ The Virustat Kit is a complete filter replacement (costs ~$35) and the Cyst Filter Cartridge (costs ~$20) is to replace the inner 2 components of the 3-piece filter system.
