I have a couple questions...I'm 6'2 210lbs and hesitant to buy 2008-09 Salomon Czars b/c of the ski length. I like skiing on a shorter ski but I'm not sure if a 182 will be too short. Also, is there a big difference between last seasons and the 2010 czar? maybe a longer ski option

Hi Smt... Yest I demoed the 190 Czar at Alta. I'm 6'1" and 185 and thought it was fine. Also tried the 182 and it was to short.

I've skied the new ones quite a bit, and they seem about the same, maybe just a little better because they feel bit lighter to me.

182 will definitely be too short for you - go with the 190. I'm 6'1" and spent some time on the 182cm last season, and although it's a great ski, it skis very short because of the long tip rocker. The only difference between last year's and this year's Czar is that Salomon added a layer of bamboo to the construction, which I'm pretty sure won't make any difference. I certainly know I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
