The Arc'teryx website states the Theta SV has been redesigned for the 2010/2011 model year. How does the 2009/2010 Theta SV compare to the 2010/2011 SV and what changes were made?

I haven't seen the new Theta SV but I have the 2009 (which I like quite a bit). It doesn't look like the new one has the stow away hood. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I like that I can stow my hood but it does make the collar feel really bulky. Hope this helps!

The 2010 Theta SV is still a full cut jacket so you can layer up pretty heavily, but the pattern is revised from the previous version. You are correct about the fabrics being the same.

The 2009/2010 Theta SV was a pretty roomy jacket with a full cut. Does the new 2010/2011 version retain that same cut? To my knowledge, the materials used in making the Alpha SV and Theta SV were also the same in 2009/2010.

For the Arc'teryx Theta SV it's more of a brand new jacket than a redesign. The only thing that stays the same is the length and the name. New hood (better over helmets), ski focused pocket setup (skin compatible)and tougher fabric (uses the Alpha SV fabric.
