Metolius Safe Tech Deluxe Improved Harness - Men's

Item #MET0291 | 24 in Stock

Hello all... How would this harness compare to the BD Speed Adjust...

By Ranked #381 - Men's Harnesses September 4, 2010

Hello all... How would this harness compare to the BD Speed Adjust Harness... I am a beginning climber looking for my first harness... the Metolius is more $$ but seems beefier (does that mean safer and more durable?)... the BD is less $$ but seems like it is easier to take off for bouldering routes. I am living in FL right now so am only climbing indoors... which would be more appropriate. Thanks.

I would go with the BD. There is nothing to be gained with this harness for a beginner climber. I would suggest getting something like a the Speed or Momentum. Get something fairly inexpensive and if you get really serious with climbing you will know what kind of features you are looking for in an upgrade.
