I was curious how water/weather resistant this bag would be. I live in western Washington (where the rainy season is about to begin) and will be using it for the occasional bike/walk commute to work and school. Thanks for any assistance you can provide me with.

Thanks Jon. The DWR is a good thing to know about. Is that throughout all of MHW's packs...day and otherwise?

Also, to add to Phil's answer... the fabric is treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent finish) that will repel light snow and rain. It is not taped however and so is not waterproof. Hope this helps!

It will shed some light moisture for a short amount of time only, but for heavy or prolonged rain, you'll need a pack cover to keep the pack and it's contents dry.
