i think it's true to size, because i have a r4 of size small and it's a little bit short for me and I got this r3 of size M and it fits perfect on me. Besides, it's very warm. i think it's comparable to r4 in term of warmth in condition of no wind. And r3 also blocks descent amout of wind. And it breaths much much better than r4 when i am active while r4 usually makes me wet from inside.
