I understand "KEEN" makes a good shoe but, could they possibly make them any uglier? I mean they make good looking shoes if you don't look straight down on them while you're wearing them! I don't get that whole 'wide look' they have; and I'm surprised to not see more comments about this.

Long ago shoes and boots had a wider forefoot made for comfort and proper fit. The army munson last was one of the most popular lasts for shoes until "style" came into the picture. So these days most people wear shoes that do not fit properly. For me, and many others, function will always come before form.

Love the wide forefoot box. And I do not have wide feet. Heels are appropriately snug.

Keen's are one of the few shoes that fit. The toe area is nice and wide and the heels are snug enough not to rub and flop around. Other narrow toed shoes have to be much longer to fit width properly and the heels tend to be way to sloppy. Don't mess around with Keen style-if you want narrow toes for style by Nikes or some other brand there are plenty that don't fit the foot properly.
