Hey Rowland, Most people who use this helmet, are not using it for ski racing. Unless your doing skier cross or big mountain comps, you might be one of the only people to use a full face like this for traditional ski racing. Smith makes great helmets, but if you're looking for a actual ski racing helmet, you might need to look for Briko or Carrera. As these are a bit more niche, you might have to look at more of a racing speciality shop (Reliable Racing)
