What's with the shell sizing getting bigger each year? I'm replacing my 2000 Alpha SV, and the 2010 medium are a lot bigger. I also tried on a 2010 Beta AR, and that jacket definitely gone up in size. What's more the Beta hem is almost as long as the AR hem
Why is Arcteryx messing with their original design? The older models fit perfect. It seems they are now catering to overweight urban fashion wannbe who are sporting these jackets for bling.

Totally! outdoormoron, you've put my thoughts into words absolutely PERFECTLY. It's like poetry for my outrage. Seems like all the brands are heading that way. I tore my sleeve on my 7 year old MHW shell, and now they only sell this crap. I guess I'll just send it in to be fixed for $100... Hopefully they make the left sleeve the same size as the right...Or it's time to switch to European brands.

I agree, I seem to have grown out of a "large" and into a "medium." I am 5'11" 185lbs, consider myself athletic, and I swim in the 2010 large, when 5yrs ago a large fit well.
