Hey! i have a problem. im 17, 5'7-5'8, fast speeds and an expert skier. i used to ski on racing skis but wanted to switch to twin tips. im considering either the dumonts or the salomon suspects. i do mainly downhill, pow, and go off the occasional jumps ahead. which one of the two should i choose? if you think these arent good for me, which one would you recommend? which size?
thanks so much for your time and help :)

Hey David, The two skis are very simliar. The major differences are only going to be effective if you're spending time on rails. The Dumont offers double edge armor, and the Suspect has single edge armor. THis Salomon technology has threaded wire that runs across the based added additional strength to the edges. (not a concern if you're just rippin' around on them) The 176 is the most popular size, and sounds like it'd be right in your wheel house. The 171 is probably a bit too small, but if you're used to throwin around a race ski, you should have no issues on the 181 either. Overall, great ski but there are definitely better options from Salomon if you're looking for a powder oriented ski. Enjoy dood!
