Does anyone know how these radios work in the mountains? Not line of sight but through trees, rock formations, around corners, obstructions, & not anywhere near the estimated 35 mile range.
Thanks

Mike, Aside from professional radios, these are Motorola's top of the line for recreational use. Of all the different Motorola radios I've personally used, the only thing that gets in the way is topography...you in one valley, the other person in the next. Yeah, 35 miles is a big push, but two or three, without a mountain in the way, and your signal should be 5x5...over.
