You definitely cannot boil this thing full. Even with two cups it's a rough boil. If you do more you'd need to turn it off immediately.

Holds 1 liter. And with the indicator, you can boil it full. And with the large control valve, you can turn it off quickly, before it boils over.

I will hold one liter of water, but if you try to boil that much it will overflow. Jetboil recomends that you only boil a half liter/ 2cups, but I find you can heat slightly more as long as you turn it off once it starts fo boil.
