Seems like this is a great board for the park, but how does it perform in backcountry and regular groomed runs? I am looking for a board to advance my skills in the park, but I don't want a "park only" board. Anyone got advice?

this is going to be a park specific board. So when it comes to groomers, backcountry, trees, ect ... this board is going to have to much flex. I would recommend getting an all mountain freestyle board if you are looking for something that you can take in the park and in the backcountry. A board you should check out is the Gnu B-Real snowboard. It is going to be more of an all mountain freestyle board. You will be able to progress in the park and on powder days you wouldn't need to switch boards. The B-Real board uses Mervin A.5 Aspen core which is going to give you a ton of pop and a lot of control on rails, but its not going to decrees this boards performance all over the mountain.
