I also use the Nikwax and hand wash it. As Kirk suggested, dry it on delicate cycle for a short time and then hang it outside to air dry for the remainder.

Best to use the Nikwax tech wash , front loading Machine . Dry low delicate cycle for about 10 or so minutes and hang dry for the rest.
