The nose pads on these sunglasses really leave an impression and a lot of discomfort when worn even for a short time.
What can be done? are more cushioning nose pads available?

Sounds like you just need them adjusted. Take them to an optical shop and have a professional fit them to your bridge. If necessary they can order new nose pads from MJ for you (no charge of course).
