is it dishwasher-safe?
How else would you clean the damn lid?
Looks like it can't even be diassembled to reach the remains on the inside.

definitely a hand wash thing...i've had one of these off and on for several years and have never had "the funk". soap and hot water like guy says to flush through it. then leave the lid open so it can dry before putting it away! and i'm pretty sure that if you put half-half in anything and don't rinse it out immediately you'll end up with the "funk"

The lid does not come apart, and it easily traps funk inside the lid (which is much larger than necessary), especially if your aren't SUPER DILIGENT about cleaning, like on a climbing trip???

The mug is not. You might get away with running the lid through the dishwasher though. Or you could try soaking it in hot water and then flushing clean water through it. Seems to work well enough for me - but it is a drawback of this mug.
