and jumped on an inexpensive pair of skins. No correct size available, so I went long and wide. 130mm long. Plan to trim them down (I went with long over medium so I could potentially make my own toe attachment if necessary). Did I make an error? I've heard some people say they just cut off the rear buckle, will that work? Is there some way to salvage, or make my own attachment, or should I send back and wait for a better deal?

Here are your options to make the long skins [180-190cm] work on your 155 skis: - Cut off the tail and go without a tail connection. - Cut off the tail and get a tail kit. - Cut off the tip and get some tip loops. Personally, I like to have both tip and tail connectors for my skins.
