is BC.com/Stoic thinking of making a hooded version of this anytime soon? I think that would be a perfect garment for the majority of conditions in which folks do stuff outdoors. I'd probably buy 2!

Cutter (Backcountry's in-house cycling brand) makes a hooded merino top. I use the long sleeve version when skiing. It appears that they only sell a short sleeve now. http://www.cutterbike.com/?cat=4&p=717
