Hey Jerry, So I first of all have to ask, have you adjusted the seat as much as possible. Moving it back might make it easier for you to utilize those braces. If you have done that, the other option you have is to remove those all together and replace them with some lower profile form of padding. This can be purchased from any white water supplier.
