Yes, you can roll up the door out of the way. You can also tie up the entire front vestibule and make the front face of the tent simply screen. Same goes for the rear. On nice nights i always tie it up. Check out the picture, both front and rear are tied up which really lets the tent breath.

You can also create a little shade by pulling it straight out and securing it to your trekking poles.
