Does this bottle have any insulating value? I'd imagine the answer is “not much” since it's stainless.

You're right, this bottle is only a single walled stainless steel bottle...so don't expect there to be all that much insulation for keeping hot drinks hot, or cold drinks cold.It does a good job for being single-walled.
