How can you tell if the unit is fully charged? What kind of indicators are used, and for what?

The 3.4 amp has a single light indicator that changes from green to yellow to red and finally flashing red to show remaining power.

On the 15 and 7.5 amp versions there are 3 green LEDS. You hit the level button and whichever one flashes lets you know how charged it is. The first is about 30%, second is 60% and the last means its roughly fully charged.
