Is the floor waterproof or do you still need the footprint? I Know kind of a strange question for this product.

The floor is waterproof. It's a 3000mm nylon, which is a solid water proof rating for a tent floor. The higher the mm the better

there is a floor that you can buy, but you don't really need it. Ive used the nest with the rainfly and it was worked great, rain or shine. It tends to absorb moisture after a while, but nothing that will make it wet on the inside. The floor might be nice if you were in a place without mosquitoes and didnt want your sleeping pad in the dirt. But I'd bet money on my itchless skin, that I woldn't ever skip the nest.
