I'll probably use this pack to do peak scrambles and ultralight day hikes. I want to find a lumbar pack that won't bounce all over the place as I climb or move into a light jog down the mountain. Would this be a good option? Recommendations?

This is an excellent choice for a lumbar pack. While Osprey may not be as big into this category as Nathan or Camelbak, it is still a good choice because it shares many great features Osprey uses on their packs such as StraaighJacket compression and BioStretch hipbelt.
