how well would this sole material work for wading? I have been looking for a light weight wet wading sandal for warm weather wading or jumping out of the drift boat to quickly fish a run.

Absolutely – light weight, fast drying, and the Vibram outsole was designed for boat decks. The Marine doesn’t have as good of traction as a traditional wading boot so you’ll need to take caution when wet wading over mossy rocks and could stub a few rocks. For fly fishing in the summer I use the Orvis Wet Wading Shoe but it’s not as versatile as a sandal.
