the Neo Air is 1/3 the size rolled up, maybe even less and weighs nearly 4lbs less. I got the NeoAir for motorcycle camping because it's so small. It would do well for backpackers, too. I blow it up when i set up camp and right before I get in the sleeping bag, I just top it off. If it's really cold, I might top it off in the middle of the night.

But for the price that REI pad is great for car-camping.

Weight!!! NeoAir = 1lb 3oz REI = 5lb You could have four NeoAir's stacked two up side by side and that would be around the same weight as the REI pad.
