I bought this jacket for my daughter. After it was washed it wasn't as soft. Is there any way to restore the softness/

next time u wash it hang it out till its almost dry then dry it in the dryer on low heat..and it fluffs them back up

I have washed mine several times exactly by the directions on the tag and it always comes out looking and feeling brand new. I just use Arm & Hammer powder soap and hang dry it.

Nope not really. The fleece probably started to pile once you washed it. I'd suggest washing in Nikwax fleece wash if you didn't do that.
