At a size 11 boot im torn between going for the 156 wide and the 156 norm. What would be more appropriate?

Get the wide. You don't want to put risers on your sk8 banana and sacrifice some of the flex. I have a size 10.5 boot and I'm torn between the same two decisions myself because I used to get bad toe drag on my old board until I put risers on. If you're going to be doing lots of park then I'd especially say get the wide because you won't like riser pads in the park if you end up having to put them on...
