Which Westcomb Mirage jackets have pit zips? Does this model...

Which Westcomb Mirage jackets have pit zips? Does this model have them?
Also is the length of this jacket adequate for backpacking (ie a little more length)?
One concern I have is the pockets are at hip level, not chest level making them impossible to operate with a hip strap on.

Yes, laminated pit zips w/YKK T4 zippers. Westcomb makes great jackets in eVent, and the length would be fine, but I can see how the zipper placement might be a problem for you. Another couple jackets for you to have a look at are the Rab Latok Alpine (item# RAB 0015) and the Latok (RAB 0016). Both are tremendous jackets, and I think you'll find the pockets to be placed to fit your needs.
