what is the meaning of the big number shown in the center of my suunto core all black when my mode is in altitude? while there is also feet shows in the lower (the smaller figure/number)

Big number is your current altitude/elevation above sea level - assuming you calibrated your barometer. Smaller number could be a variety of things, but is most likely your difference in altitude from a prescribed point (where you pressed the upper left button)

Should be the elevation gain after it's put into altitude mode. Check the manual to be sure.
