I'm looking into buying my first backpack for a trip to Europe, and I was wondering if there's much of a difference between packs for men and women.
I saw this pack on another site and it wasn't listed as a women's bag..but it looks like what I'm looking for.

Also, I wanted to know whether sizing throughout a brand tends to run the same. I was fitted/tried on an Osprey bag the other day at a store, and decided it was too big for what I'm looking for...but would like to buy this one..but I'm hesitant about buying it online without trying it first. Is the sizing going to be the same?

In my opinion, it's worth it to get sized correctly by someone who knows what they're doing and to try on a pack for comfort before using it. Especially in a situation where you're going to be hauling it extensively over the course of a few weeks or months without the opportunity to replace it. There are few things worse than an uncomfortable pack. Different packs can fit quite a bit differently, even across the same brand (to accommodate different body types, etc). I encourage you to find this pack at a local retailer, load it up, try it on, adjust the fit, and walk around for a bit. Barring that, backcountry has a great return policy, so you can always try it before committing to it. Just keep in mind your travel schedule if you end up having to ship it back for a replacement.
