My son loves this jacket! It kept him warm all winter in NJ, only needed a layer for the coldest of days.
But he's outgrown it and they don't have one in his size! (m) Any other options we should look at?
Things we liked:
-Windproof/weather resistant - definitely an improvement over Denali fleece.
-Soft Fleece lining helped insulate the jacket
-Could wear with just a t-shirt to about 30, after that only minimal layering was required.
-Color (we got Red since he's standing out at the bus stop during those dark winter mornings and I (mom) wanted something more visible than blue or black).
Cons:
-The colder it got the stiffer the jacket got.
-BC seems to not carry this any more!
Any suggestions welcome. Looking to stay under $150. Thanks!

Thanks! The Sentinel Thermal was on the radar, however I wasn't sure it would be as warm as this one was.

Hi Alison, Check out the North Face Sentinel Thermal jacket. It's exactly the same as the Apex Bionic Thermal, except it has a Gore Windstopper liner.
