Hi there...after a lot of searching..i ended up at this jacket and at TNF venture jacket. I really can decide myself, although this is a lot cheaper and i like that the hood is removable. Any opinion is welcome( also about the weight of this jacket)

What are you wanting to use it for is the biggest question. You get what you pay for, so I wouldn't trust this jacket with much prolonged activity, but for around town and light stuff like camping it might be really wonderful. As for zip off hoods, I have some and they're useful but I usually prefer a hood that's integrated into the front chin cover. Those kinds will cover you face more in a storm and keep you warmer, if warmth is a concern.

The breathability of this jacket can't be beat by any other brand. This is every bit as waterproof, and will not get the clammy feel nearly as quickly (if at all) as the other membraned jackets
