I'm looking for some mitts for boarding in heavy, wet Australian snow - will the leather on these cut it, or is it likely that the leather will soak through (like the Black Diamond gloves that I'm replacing)?

Although the winning feature for these is keeping hands warm in REALLY cold temps. They also have Gore-XCR, which is a very waterproof. Just make sure to pre-treat them with cream that is included and you should be one happy camper. *GoreTex is a waterproof breathable membrane the company doesn't endorse a product if it doesn't stand up to those requirements. XCR will keep you dry.
